Guidelines For March 3, 2005 Rant Off in Austin
- Rant must be 2 minutes of less in length
- Topics should be of a "Hicksian" nature ie: socio-political and thought provoking vs why you hate traffic, your relationship stinks etc...
- Sign up at the event at the Foundation table when you arrive at the event
- If you would like your rant to be submitted as part of the contest for the "What would Bill Hicks say" book to be published by Soft Skull Press, please state so when you register.
- All entrants when, registering for the rant off, will also be consenting to have their performance videotaped and can use this as their entry for the book contest and can also submit their entry in written form.
- Rants do NOT have to be memorized as many of last years ranters read theirs from notes/cards etc..
Two runner up and one grand prize winner will be chosen.
Runner Up Winners will receive prize packages containing:
A Hicks Foundation coffee mug and copy of Austin Tribute Video,
A copy of "Love All The People" courtesy of Soft Skull Press
A copy of the new Hicks Live DVD and a Hicks CD of their choice courtesy of RykoDisc
Grand Prize winner from the evening will recieve all of the above but will recieve a copy of all Hicks CD's and will have the video of their rant streamed on the BilHicks.com website.
